Lewis H. Stanton Completes Mission as Interim CEO of Hydra-Electric Company

Board of Directors acknowledges the achievements of Interim CEO’s 15-month tenure. 

Burbank, CA – July 14, 2015 —The board of directors of Hydra-Electric Company, a trusted provider of breakthrough sensing technology for the aerospace industry, acknowledged the accomplishments of Lewis Stanton, who successfully completed his engagement as interim chief executive officer on July 6. David E. Schmidt became the new permanent CEO as separately announced.

In March 2014, the board appointed Lewis Stanton to lead the Company as interim CEO. “The Board recognizes the many accomplishments that Lewis Stanton and Stanton Associates LLC have delivered during Lewis’s tenure as interim CEO,” said Greg Chiampou, board member. “In approximately 15 months, Lewis has improved the financial performance of Hydra-Electric, guided the Company to win new business, introduced a performance management system, strengthened the management team, and emphasized a culture that’s business and customer centric. Lewis also oversaw the implementation of an integrated marketing plan, raising Hydra-Electric’s awareness in the marketplace.”

Lewis Stanton will resume his role as Managing Partner of Stanton Associates LLC, a management consulting firm that applies deep functional expertise in sales, marketing and finance to drive profitable growth for mid-sized companies. Prior to forming Stanton Associates, he was a several-time CEO, as well as a former COO/CFO of a public company.

Stanton Associates LLC Adds Larry Johnson to Lead Food & Beverage Industry Practice

Larry Johnson brings proven ability to grow top and bottom lines for food and beverage companies

LOS ANGELES, August 22, 2013 Stanton Associates LLC, a management consulting firm working with middle market companies to unlock and grow enterprise value, announced the addition of Larry Johnson, who will head up the firm’s Food & Beverage industry practice. Enlisting the leadership of Mr. Johnson expands Stanton Associates’ team of former business operators bringing deep functional and industry expertise to its clients.

Larry Johnson brings with him extensive expertise in the food industry as founder and CEO of a specialty food products company. He has served as advisor to numerous food-related enterprises where he’s helped to expand distribution, build brand awareness and drive double-digit sales growth. As President of Passage Foods Group, LLC, the U.S. marketing and sales arm of Australia-based Passage Foods, he was instrumental in helping to establish the company’s branded retail line of cooking sauces in some of the nation’s largest supermarket chains.

Johnson also has over thirty years of management consulting and advisory experience. He was formerly co-head of the Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance National Private Placement Group, as well as a Managing Director at Deloitte Touche in their West Coast Corporate Finance practice. He most recently served as Managing Director of Diamond Capital Advisors where he worked on buy and sell-side transactions with specific focus in the food & beverage and consumer products industries.

Mr. Johnson received his M.B.A. from Columbia University and his B.S. from Boston College. He is active in Rotary International and serves on the board of Wells Bring Hope, a not-for-profit organization focused on drilling water wells for the impoverished villages in West Africa.
